Financial inclusion and livelihood development

SAFAL project invested in the areas where SamriddhaPahad initiatives being implemented since 2011 and it helped to scale up the operation in the far west region of Nepal. SAFAL scaled up and piloted various financial inclusion model like wholesale finance model (bank investing in cooperatives), deficit finance model (expanding micro finance services in the remote areas where there were no services available before), guarantee fund model (encouraging banks to invest in cooperatives operating in very remote areas), financial literacy and capacity building.
