Thematic area & intervention:
The third-highest peak in the world, Kanchenjunga, is located in Nepal's eastern region and is 8586 meters high. Compared to Everest (35,000) and Annapurna, this location sees an annual average of only 500 hikers (45,000). The project intends to raise the number of visitors to the Kanchenjunga region to 5,000 by 2025 by collaborating with local communities, private businesses, and the Government of Nepal.
