Promotion of tourism and financial inclusion The mountainous and hilly regions of Nepal are inaccessible, underdeveloped economically, and geographically isolated. Poverty in these areas has been exacerbated by subsistence economic dependence, poor agricultural production, and restricted access to essential services. In Nepal's hilly and mountainous regions, there is a clear inequality in development that has led to poverty, sustainable livelihoods, and restricted access to capital.
