Over a two-year period (July 2012 to July 2014), the Samriddha Pahad project was carried out in three eastern districts of Nepal (Ilam, Panchthar, and Taplejung).


The initiative improved the livelihood skills and ability of 2,050 households in the hill and mountain regions. The project also promoted connections between banks, financial institutions, and community institutions in order to close the accessibility and demand gaps for financial services.
